A Swedish man attempted to impress his date by pouring gasoline over his arm and lighting it on fire. Apparently he misunderstood what Paris Hilton meant by her trademark phrase, “That’s hot!”
As one would expect, the stunt went horribly wrong, and the man ended up engulfed in flames and going into shock. The 33-year-old man is recovering from serious burns in a hospital in Vastervik.
“It obviously didn’t go well,” said police spokesperson Reine Johansson. “He burned his arm and other parts of his body and was in a state of shock. Don’t ask me what the point of the trick was supposed to be.”
No word on whether the couple will have a second date.
